Yes, several actually, but even in those, many cities outlaw it and many restaurants won't allow it anyway.
It's not like you can go into a fast food place and see a smoking section like back in the day.
Certainly doesn't seem pervasive in most cases anymore.

In Oklahoma, smoking is still allowed in bars, but, fortunately, far fewer people smoke in them now, quite unlike decades ago when bars would cloud up thick from cigarette smoke. Oklahoma counties and cities aren't allowed to ban smoking in bars.

OP: You've gotten some suggestions. In your ideal situation where would you want to live? You're in Pennsylvania now, do you need to stay on the East Coast to be near family, or are you looking for any area that has great access to hiking trails, outdoor activities and people living a mostly healthy lifestyle? This came from a google search:

Where do the healthiest Americans live?
These are the 10 healthiest communities in the U.S.—and none of them are New York or LA
Los Alamos County, New Mexico.
Falls Church, Virginia.
Douglas County, Colorado.
Morgan County, Utah.
Carver County, Minnesota.
Sioux County, Iowa.
Ozaukee County, Wisconsin.
Hamilton County, Indiana.

Here's a significant different list:

Since I live in Idaho, I suggested some Idaho cities for you to explore. Also, grew up in Portland. Yes, downtown Portland is going through a tough period, but the suburbs are still quite nice and have even better access to the outdoors than Portland city proper. Renting a house will certainly get you away from smelling neighbor's smoke, except maybe their BBQ smoke, lol. Let us know what you would consider in a region/city.

And, sorry about your cat. It's always hard to lose a member of your family. Best wishes to you!

Smoking cigarettes is definitely a working-class thing. People start young and then get trapped by addiction, sadly.
