Not surprisingly, Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco are the top three.

I would hope that's true everywhere. Cigarettes suck, and stick to your clothes. And they kill you. My preference has always been green over brown.

It’s shocking to me that Boston isn’t in the top 10. I can’t find links to the actual study anywhere. Anyone have one?

Compare that with the drunkest cities, with cities in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa getting their drinks on and preferring alcohol to pot:

Yea I find that surprising bordering on unbelievable too. Boston has long been the best city in the east to smoke.

But in general smoking weed is more popular than smoking cigarettes nationwide..

Yet according to the graphic, weed is only more popular than nicotine in 16 of the 83 metros sampled. There's a demographic divide here to be sure...plus a bit of a geographic one...the geographic one is fairly obvious from looking at what cities are included in the chart

We’ll that’s the thing isn’t it: if Providence is there, then probably Boston should be too. Maybe it just wasn’t sampled?
