Those numbers don't even make sense because it has Des Moines at 42 and Minneapolis at 0. Our summer weather is hardly any different from Des Moines. If there IS gonna be a difference, it would not be one so large.

People are acting like we are Duluth in summer

Well, here are averages for the summers here since 2018...

2018
June 81/64
July 84/66
August 83/65

2019
June 79/60
July 84/67
August 79/63

2020
June 82/63
July 85/67
August 81/65

2021
June 86/67
July 85/66
August 82/66

2022
June 79/64
July 84/68
August 80/64

Yea, average summer highs in the 80s are the norm. Even if its under 80 its mostly the high 70s. We know how averages work. Have you even been here in summer? We are more likely to hit the 90s than 50s. Even 60s are relegated to very early morning or during heavy rainstorms.

I-40 and above: Definite four seasons
I-40 down to I-20: Four season with short Winters
I-20 down to I-10: Four seasons with minimal Winter
I-10 and below: Warm most of the year with minimal cold weather events

Very generally speaking, the areas that don’t are:

AK
HI

And the strip of coast from northern WA all the way to Jacksonville FL, the strip ranging from 0-100 miles in width depending on region.

Once again, that’s a quick and dirty rule of thumb for me

Yea Minneapolis has quite a few 90 + days in summer. Places like Minnesota and Iowa are true four season states. The seasons are very distinct and sharp.

Yes, once you travel below I-80 and especially I-70 you quickly lose the four distinct seasons as there is far less of winter season at all anymore.

I-40 to I-70 minimal winter, mostly winter "events." Most of the time these areas are very mild in the winter with high temperatures well above freezing. I-80 to I-94 has a more well defined winter season usually in addition to the three other seasons.

Dude...this gatekeeping of "winter" thing...isn't a flex. It is also silly.

i'd argue many areas north of I-80 barely get a spring. So back down to 3 for them as well

Well, Minneapolis and Des Moines can get very hot in the summer, far more often than the southeast can actually get very cold in the winter.
