It is NOT the cold that makes you sick.
It is the fact that your house is closed up and full of viruses and germs!!
We open the house up, every chance we get. And yes, "even below zero, it was heat off and window an doors open for sleeping".
We are hot during summer, and cold in winter. Perfect during spring and summer.
During the summer, we set the temp at 70 simply because the heat pump doesn't like being below 70. When we had decent air conditioning we would set it at 65. It is hard to sleep when nighttime temperatures do not drop below 70.
During the winter, we generally set the temp at 74 during the day.
Our electricity prices are so low it doesn't make sense to suffer the heat and cold.
