Happy Easter to those that celebrate. Though I'm not a practicing Christian, I do have an appreciation for the architecture, wonder, and sense of divinity that many places of worship can offer. What are the houses of worship in the US or Canada that you've been to that struck you as captivating? This can range from grand cathedrals with ornamental architecture to modest chapels. And this is not limited to Christian houses of worship; if there is a synagogue, mosque, or other sacred sites in the US and Canada that stand out in the same context feel free to share your experience.

In my experience Montreal has an impressive collection of cathedrals, basilicas, and churches with ornate architecture -
