While it's easy to be around people like yourself, it can be a lot of fun and rewarding to get to know people from very different backgrounds.

Exactly. You see things in a different perspective after talking to people looking through different lenses. I like to point out the age component because that's something every community has is diverse age ranges, but not everyone chooses to engage with people outside of their age group. There's lots of other avenues to talk to people from different groups as well.

I don’t really see it in Nova. A place like Annandale has a big Korean, Latino, Ethiopian and professional White population. I live in Prince William County and it’s very racially mixed. I go jogging and there’s people of every color that I see each day.

There are cities that are more known for certain groups (Manassas - Latinos or Centreville - Asians) but the lines are very blurred.

Socioeconomically the lines are more distinct. The middle class is very visible where I live but poor/rich seem to be in their self-contained bubbles.
