Yelp reviews are more inflated in the boonies since they are reviewed by regulars and there's only a handful of options.

I guess to each their own, with Yelp. I look through all the good and bad reviews of a restaurant(or for whatever business), on Yelp. Sometimes I even look through the filtered reviews page for a business on Yelp, as well.

The thing with Google Maps is the occasionally flip around reviews and resets, so it's not the most reliable set of data. I tried to use it to see how popular National Forests were, but when they'd do something like combine the Arapahoe and Roosevelt NF into one listing, all the reviews went away.
