The American Lung Association releases an annual list of cities with the worst (and best) air quality based on ozone levels, short term particulates and year-round particulates. There are some surprising results with the worst states being California, Texas, Colorado and Nevada. Of note, Lung Cancer by nearly triple is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the US.
