Tucson is at 32.16N, on par with the beach town of Campo Lopez, Baja California (halfway between Tijuana and Ensenada).

Next: the military town of Fayetteville NC.

I was curious about where Las Vegas would sit on the coast. Well it would be far above Los Angeles and much further north than one would think. Definitely not in Southern California, but rather far up into the Central Coast of California.

Las Vegas at 36.17 degrees would be
near Lucia, California which is just below Big Sur basically between Monterey and San Luis Obispo, or

1/3 below San Francisco and 2/3 up from Los Angeles.

Next city Denver
The weather would change if located on the coast. I’d prefer coastal cities place in the middle of flyover country. Weather would change for these coastal cities if no longer coastal and would change where relative to the gulf coast. Do we assume the water shortage in se USA means no water for these new cities now in the land of insufficient water for existing populations?
