It went up to $4.19 here yesterday. If it gets to $5 I'm riding my bike to work. I notice people are still driving a lot locally, but that highways are a little less congested.
Hawaii has consistently had some of the highest gas prices in the country. $4.70. And now we've been voted the most congested traffic in the nation. People on the mainland say there's nowhere to drive in Hawaii. Apparently there is. We're all going nowhere fast and paying high prices to do it.
Yesterday I saw gas for $4.03 on my way home, when a few days ago it was around $3.99. Today I forget what it was.
In any case, I go to Sam's and fill up and it's normally 15+ cents cheaper.
It takes me around $44 to fill up and it lasts me about two weeks.
I'm longing for the day where I can put my name down on the dotted line for an affordable electric car. Treehugger.com has my hopes so high. =]
