The Food Network did a bbq taste-off using Texas cowboys as their judges. They had them eat bbq from Kansas City, Memphis, North Carolina, and Texas (the four pillars of American bbq). In a blind-folded taste test, those Texas cowboys voted for Memphis.

And I enthusiastically agree.

Memphis style is also excellent. I've noted it is a bit more watery, tangy and vinegary than KC style. It's my second favorite.

Not the world's biggest bbq fan, I do like it on occasion. I'll vote Kansas City. LC's is my favorite.
