There are plenty of people in Atlanta who were born in GA. And plenty of people in LA born in CA.
But I don't think very many people in Phoenix were born in AZ...they're almost ALL midwestern transplants. Miami would be a close second, if nothing else because of all the Cuban immigrants.
I said L.A. . Although not so much since many military bases have closed.
Bud Dickman makes the case for another reason.
Immigration being another reason.
I picked LA--- lots of people have moved into the city from Asian countries and Mexico. If you are looking to make it big in the entertainment business LA is the place and plus everyone else that craved that So.Cal lifestyle and its weather.
Atlanta,Phoenix, and Houston are newer to the game, people have been flocking to Cali for decades and decades.
It's definitely Phoenix. Then maybe Atlanta. Phoenix has the highest domestic migration out of all the cities. By a good margin, too. Los Angeles actually has negative domestic migration (people are leaving), so surprised to see it ahead. New York is the same way.
the poster asked Which city had the most transplants, not which city has added the most transplants recently.
