I am looking for a job. A 9-5 type job and no weekends. What company's out there are closed on weekends and have regular business hours?
This is because of childcare reasons.
My current job I had for the past 8 years makes me work weekends. I have a baby now and can't afford the additional $500.00 a month on top of the regular $600.00 a month for regular full time mon - fri care. I need to find a job that is not operating on weekends. Any suggestions?
Could you clarify why you would be spending 1100 a month on childcare? If you work on weekends, don't you get days off during the week that would bring the Mon-Fri childcare cost down? If you work five days and need a babysitter, why would it matter what days those were? Just asking~wondering if the cost is more for weekends, etc.
Car dealerships (office) When I worked, I worked in a few car dealerships, in the office. We never worked weekends or holidays and it was 8-5. Good luck!
Government jobs. Banks. The Post Office. School districts.
Exactly what came to my mind too. And check out a state government job in Salt Lake City, Utah in particular. I just read somewhere that they were planning on scaling back many state government jobs to four-day work weeks to conserve on gas. Not sure if that means the 9-5 schedule would change though.
Also the industries that support the ones already mentioned. At one time I worked for a small company that provided the coffee, related items and vending for businesses and it was also 8-5 Mon-Fri with no weekends! (and hey, free coffee!)
