who are you responding to? Do you realized the OP asked the question 5 years ago..? I am guessing he/she has found their utopia if one exists, plus I certainly wouldn't put Atlanta in the range of low cost of living and ideal weather. Of course low col and weather are very subjective. Anyplace with high humidity doesn't have ideal weather.

ABQ does seem to fit the bill. there are a lot of things we didn't like about living there, but the weather and the economy are great.

ABQ has got to be one of the most overlooked city in country. But they really do have it going on out there. I want to visit. There are several other cities which are close but miss the mark in some minor way. Austin is nice but the rents and home prices have gone bonkers the last few years with all the newcomers. The best of the rest in no particular order Dallas, Atlanta, Raleigh, Salt Lake City, Nashville, Sacramento

Austin for good weather, really?
Why do so many people move here and then complain endlessly about the extreme heat then?
Heck, even many of the natives would never claim good weather. The heat goes on for months.. and now we have drought to add to that.
