This is the dumbest list I have ever seen... they don't include the 22nd largest metro area in the country (Pittsburgh PA) in their list of the 50 LARGEST CITIES IN AMERICA?!! If they are going by the city proper numbers, then this whole list is meaningless because everyone knows that the "city proper" is the most arbitrary and useless boundary of all time. If Pittsburgh and other northest cities were allowed to "annex their suburbs" like the rest of these sprawled out southern cities do, Pittsburgh would be the 9th largest city in the country. We may not be the greenest U.S. city but we do have the highest number of green LEED certified buildings of any city in the world.
Seattle, San Fran, Portland, and NYC considering it doesn't rely on autmobiles and it wastes less energy than Houston, Los Angeles, and Atlanta all of which are much small population wise
you r right about new york but look at this plan by the mayor PLANYC 2030
There is also a plan which started along time ago to plant 1,000,000 trees in nyc streets, neighborhoods and parks
Boulder, Colorado...really, Denver is trying to make strides there as well (and falling short at times), but the effort is there...however in boulder...you can just tell...
