I think this is probably good news for Southern accents in general because if a Texan couple moves to another place in the South then their kids will probably hear enough of a Southern accent(even if it's Texan) at home and they'll pick it up and then add to more accents in that community.

Glad to hear it. While personally, it isn't my favorite US accent (but that is simply due to where I grew up and the sort of accents I heard and grew fond of as a child), I believe strongly that the world is a better and more interesting place with regional accents, and do not feel that anyone should be ashamed of their accent.
