Here's an idea. Visit both cties and walk the downtown cores. Then, tell me which is skyline and built area is more dense. Try it.
People aren't - one person is.

ive been to both cities and walked the downtowns of both.. San Francisco is still denser (especially when ur on street level) so I don't see why u tried to enhance ur case by sayin Chicago is more dense when u walk around downtown when its totally vice versa not to mention when u walk the streets of downtown SF u feel like ur in a city much larger than Chicago due to the vibrancy and urban essence of the city

super agreed, its insane to think otherwise... people get the size of downtown Chicago confused with the density.. SF is more dense!!

True but downtown San Francisco feels more urban than downtown Chicago at street level imo. Downtown Chicago is certainly more expansive and more impressive from afar

That isn't the point. Skyline density is measured only by the number of buildings. It isn't like a city of only 100 people who are all 7 ft tall is more dense than a city of 1,000 people who are all 5 ft tall.

Have you walked them? San Francisco's Downtown is not small. They are comparable.
