It is true that Mississippians (including those who live on the Mississippi coast) usually go to Alabama or Florida to visit the beach, rather than Mississippi's own beaches.
When I was younger I went to visit Dauphin Island, Alabama, and it was great. The beaches were sandy and clean.
I haven't seen it in about 9 years, so I'm not sure what it's like now. I heard somewhere that after the hurricane in '05 most of the island was flooded.
What states best represent each of these average spaces in an American Home, and why?
FRONT YARD(a place that's nice to look at, but not often used): Wyoming/Montana/Alaska LIVING ROOM(where the majority of enjoyment happens one way or another): New York DINING ROOM(Culinary excellence): California maybe? I ate amazing food in SF BED ROOM(state most prone to being either a sleepy place, or prone to sleeping around): Iowa/Nebraska/Kansas BATH ROOM(the dump of the USA): West Virginia? I love West Virginia, its a very beautiful state, but i just feel like there are a lot of trashy people there from my experience GARAGE(a place we keep a lot of useless things, and our cars): Hawaii maybe? because we don't really have much there that if they were to break away from the US we would really be at loss...not that i don't like Hawaii or anything! BACKYARD(less attractive than the front yard, but gets more useage): Oklahoma/Arkansas/Texas
Sorry, but you just can't call Texas a Dump! You might as well throw in NY and CA as well because without these three states, this country would suffer big time.
Front Yard: Alaska
Living Room: Florida
Dining Room: Louisiana
Bedroom: Vermont
Bathroom: There isn't an entire state that's a "dump".
Garage: New York
Backyard: California
