You're from... Omaha. You'll need to show me why anyone should care what you think before demanding the same from others.

Those are some nice photos. But I've been to LA, and seen lots of that stuff, and it's just not my kind of city, that's all. I could see why some people like it, but it's not for me. So my mind remains unchanged .

Someones a wee bit grouchy don't you think? Clearly I'm just a redneck farmer from nowheresville and my opinion isn't as good as a Californians.

Actually, I think your opinion is more relevent than some angry anti intellectual from California.

LA is a city, no more and no less, it has good culture and some cool areas but I just don't see what is so special about the place anymore. In the 1950's and before, yeah but not anymore.

Downtown LA is good for its market districts to the south, SciArc and converted warehouses to the east, and Caltrans a smidge north of the CBD. LA's downtown core is uneventful and 'picturesque' (with clear skies, in the rare occasion after a rain)- not much else.

Abbot Kinney, Main St. (Santa Monica) and Abbot Kinney are a lot more experiential.

Stunning pics and I am one who loves L.A. I'll be there in less than 2 weeks. Can't wait.

A few pictures of some tall ugly buildings aren't going to change our opinions of what we think of the city at all.

Besides that, I've seen the pics of Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Santa Monica, the beaches, palm trees, etc, and I'm still not all that crazy about LA.
