I am not US citizen and I don't live in USA. So I don't understand why all americans movie, cartoons, etc... with teens, ever show them like perfect idiots, stupids, violents and dangerous, people who doesn't know nothing under one's nose.
Why?? Is it real or it's a deliberate plan of hollywood movie makers for an unknown finality ?
I can't understand how the most important country (society) of the world permit this "destruction" its young generation.
(Forgive my bad english)

A movie about perfect teens would be boring. Who would make a movie about that?

I was under the impression that most American movies featuring teens usually included one or two who were exemplary in some fashion. I think it demonstrates that we're a rather self-centered culture who sees everyone but the main central character in our lives (ouselves) as being less that ourselves.

A grande maioria dos jovens aqui sao bem normal. Mas como em todo lugar, ha loucos tambem.

Sorry, I seem to remember that we cant write in any language other than english.

What I wrote above translates to..
The great majority of youth here are quite normal. But as in every place, there are crazies too.

Somewhat ironic- people would actually watch TV more if Brazilian actresses were involved.

Because it's TV and movies. All the settings and people in movies and TV are normally exaggerated because it has to be dramatic/funny/interesting.

Average life for a human living in the United States is normally far different from what you're seeing on TV. Those are just stories. Especially all the Orange County, Beverly Hills, shows that depicts teens as stupid and rich and not working. Hardly anyone ACTUALLY lives that lifestyle, it's just "good tv"....even though it's really bad tv.
