City of Des Moines 197,052

How about the fact that both Fresno and Tucson have over 1 million people in their metropolitan areas? How about the fact that both cities are less than 200 miles from other major cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix?
distance between DMI (Des Moines Iowa) and Kansas City 184 miles/297km...
distance between Fresno and San fransico 186 miles/299 km...
Distance between DMI and Minneapolis, Minnisota 234 miles
Distance between Fresno and Los Angeles 209 miles...
Distance between DMI and St. Louis 270 miles...
and forbes seems to disagree with you
According to Forbes Des Moines is ranked #1 best metro and is constantly being placed within the top ten list of Cities to conduct business...currently ranked #7...
Freson and Tucson might have a larger population then DMI but thats about all they have going for them compared to DMI... So with a population of well over a half a million people and growing (by 2015 the Des moines metro area is expected to stretch into Story county and surrounding areas and have a population of close to 3 quaters of million) DMI with a top ten buisness conductivity ranking...and with access to Minneapolis,Kansas City, Chicago,Omaha, and St. Louis I think its safe to say DMI is defintily a city and one thats on the rise.

First, why are you responding to a post that's over a year old? Did you guys just get the internet in Iowa?

Second, am I supposed to be impressed by your stats? There's more people in the City of Milwaukee (604,477) than there are in the entire Des Moines metro area (562,906).

Third, Des Moines is not a top 10 "business conductivity" center. I'm not even sure what that means, but I'm positive Des Moines isn't on anybody's radar screen outside of Iowa. As for having access to MSP, KCMO, Chicago, Omaha, and STL, so what? Small airports like Green Bay have access to those cities as well. Does Des Moines even have any direct international flights?

Lastly, would you care to post any of those top 10 lists that supposedly feature Des Moines, because I haven't seen anything that supports what you're claiming.

Don't get salty because your state's economy is a joke, while my state keeps being innovative and producing sustainable jobs for people, feeding America and leading the way in medicine.

What's so funny?

Seriously. Name a state in the Midwest that produces more, does more and attracts more than Minnesota? Wisconsin? Fail. Michigan? Fail. Missouri? Yeah, ok.

I'm not a kid either fat boy, don't you know who Kid Cann was?

FYI, you're not doing MN a favor by acting like a douchebag. You also seem to be ignoring the 800 lb. gorilla in the room named Chicago that trounces MN in every conceivable way.

PS,
IL, OH, and MI all have larger GDPs than MN.
List of U.S. states by GDP (nominal) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

PPS,
nobody knows who Kid Cann is outside of MN.
