They are BORDER States- they are Mid-Atlantic. Not Northeast or South.
Virginia, however is the South.

Its not that easy Mario.

Southern Maryland is much more Southern than Baltimore- Balitmore is the end of the Northeast, IMO.

Parts of Maryland are more in tune with VA and NC

Deleware on the other hand, is pretty much Mid-Atlantic, except for Southern DE- which is more like Southern MD.

Have you been to Southern Maryland- its mostly tobacco farms, etc.

Its not like Baltimore or Northern Maryland.

Extreme Northern Maryland- Emmittsburg, etc, is like Southern PA.

Without A doubt, Northern, with small parts southern. A mix. 75% Northern, 15 % Southern, 10% Appalachian

Extreme? Every single county that touches PA is exactly like southern PA.
