I was biten by a brown recluse in Baltimore, Maryland. Didn't think they were here but they are. I ended up having an IV in me at emergency for about four hours. While there, a doc told me he had to amputate an arm from a lady who was bit by one and never took care of it. The infection spread deep into her and it was all they could do.
Now having said that, does anyone have any North Carolina crawler stories???
In MN I might have to do deal with the occasional mosquitos but not often.
!
Oddly enough, that's about all I have to deal with as well. I'm amazed that a single baby roach and a few ants are the only bugs I have seen in my house. I can't remember the last time I saw a snake either. Now alligators, frogs and lizards, that's a whole different story...
I just posted about this in a thread in the Indiana forum but I want to ask again: how do people in the south (both east and west) stand all those bugs: snakes, scorpions, spiders, worms, etc.? In MN I might have to do deal with the occasional mosquitos but not often. And I particularly remember the worms that always sprang up every time it rained. Back when we lived in Tulsa, OK, in the early 90s, sometimes we'd wake up and we'd see scorpions in our bathtubs. Crap!
How do southern people deal with it? It's nasty!
We see them, kill them, and flush them away. I mean....it's really not as bad as you people make it seem.

Maybe. But when I was living down there it happened often. Maybe I was just living in a dump apt. complex.

Okay, tough guy, I like how you're able to handle everything in nature and talk trash. Guys like that are usually the first to die. Just like that one guy who used to handle pythons and then was found strangled by one. Or how about Sigfried and Roy, when Roy was bitten in the neck by a white tiger and sustained major injuries? Oh, and ever hear of Steve Irwin? Of course you have, he's probably your idol. Maybe one day you'll follow in his footsteps and end up being gutted in the chest by a stingray too.
LOL @ this guy thinking he's a bigshot. How pathetic.

Ever heard of ACCIDENTS, genius? The people that are first to die are the ones, like you, who dont know crap about anything in nature.
Lets put you in one room with a cobra and Mark O' Shea in another room with a cobra and see who comes out alive.
Dont disrespect Steve Irwin, thats incredibly rude and stupid of you.
