Stockholm, Sweden or New York City, which of the fallowing has the best climate, and that you could pick one to be your city's weather if you had to?

Stockholm: Average high/low temperatures (Jan 30/23, Apr 48/34, July 73/55 often warmer, Oct 50/41). Annual precipitation 21.2", generally light but regular rainfall.
Snow could occur from nov - apr, but it snows mainly in jan - mar, most of the winters are free of snow accumulation. Temperatures above 77 F/25 C occurs on average 16 days each summers, occasional heat waves and milder winters are common. Daylight extends 18 hrs in late june, and around 6 hrs in late december. 60 clear skies days, 105 wet days every year.
(Pleasantly warm summers, Cool to Mild Spring/Fall, Cold Winters)

New York City: Average high/low temperatures (Jan 38/26, Apr 61/44, July 84/69, Oct 64/50) Annual precipitation 46", 25" snowfall. Snow could occur from nov-apr, mainly in dec-feb, snow doesn't last for long time. Temperatures above 90 F/32 C occurs on 16 days each year. 107 clear skies days, 121 wet days.
(Hot & Humid summers, Cool to Warm Spring/Fall, Cold Winters)

I think the real kicker for me would be lattitude. I don't think I could handle those short, almost nonexistent days at the extreme northerly lattitude of Stockholm in winter. NYC, without a doubt.

The shortest day in Stockholm is 6 hrs 10 min of daylight.
The longest day is 18 hr 20 min.

I'm sure Sthlm has slightly more snow than NYC, and it stays longer.

Like I said...short days! 6 hours, sheesh... go to work in the dark...come home in the dark. I couldn't take that.

And an 18 hour day!!:O:O:O OMG, talk about driving someone psycho!

Well, it's the same here. You come home to work in the dark, because the longest day here, the sun set at 4:30 PM in NYC. People usually come home between 5 - 7.
And for example in London, the shortest day is 7.5 hrs daylight, so only 1.5 hrs longer than in Sthlm.
