i just realize this when looking through the guide on the tv and saw this

L=infrequent coarse language
D= Intensely Suggestive Dialogue
V=Intense Violence
LL=Strong Coarse Language
FV=fantasy violence
S=Intense Sexual Situations

I think i have seen a few more but i cant remember them. there rating symbols appear like this for example TV-PG,L(rating for Suppernanny) or TV-14,L,D,(rating for the 70's show)

what do you think of the added step of protection? I think it is a little neat.

HAVE A BRIGHT AND SUNNY DAY

Actually, they've been doing this for a while now. I was pretty confused about the letters the first time I saw them, but now I just ignore it all. I'm an adult, so I don't really care. But I can see how it would be of interest to parents.
