Definitely New Orleans. In fact it is like no other city in the country almost foreign really.Other than that most big cities here are much the same as other big cities across the country with just regional differnece.

I think Detroit and Chicago are very very different from their respective states

Tallahassee. It's "Florida with a Southern accent" while the rest of Florida is nothing more than New Jersey or Ontario in the tropics.

I think Detroit and Chicago are very very different from their respective states.

Not to mention that Chicago is smashed up in the very corner of the state, about as far from the middle of any state you could get, considering the way Illinois is shaped. With the lake blocking land access to the focal point of the city, it's somewhat isolated from the rest of Illinois and tends to be extremely different than the rest of the region.

Minneapolis is nothing like Chi. Philly and Chi have too many things in common to list.

We're talking about cities. Not towns, no one has ever heard of outside their county!

What about Jacksonville? There are a small number of northern transplants there, but for the most part it's rednecks, hoodrats, fundamentalists, and old plantation types who probably yearn for the ante-bellum days.

I think Austin, Tx is very different from the other big cities in the state of Texas. The city tries so hard not to be like Houston and Dallas. In some ways it's a positive and in other ways it's a negative.

Jacksonville ??? yep, it's like Memphis, TN "on the water"

and Memphis TN....nothing like even Nashville, a nice and sopishticated place in parts......and nothing like even Knoxville.....Memphis TN migh as well be in MISSISSIPPI....in fact Nashvillians call it "the biggest city in the state of Mississippi".....even they don't want anything to do with it
It's also said that Jacksonville is south GA's largest city
