Well you are proving that you know very little about the U.S.A. if you are placing washington, mass, colorado, jersey and a freaking city ahead of PA and Ohio.

There's no doubt California, New York, and Texas lead the list.

The weather in the central valley is not what you would call perfect compared to many other places and most of it is attributed to the high quality soil in the central valley. Also, you cannot give 100% credit to the "founders" of a company, there are many countless numbers of people involved in the output of a company and if you don't have facts to prove to me that they were all born out of state, then your argument means nothing to me. Lastly, it doesn't even matter if they were all born out of state, the OP didn't ask us to "Rank the top ten most powerful states where employees of companies in said states are from there", so again, void.

So? If I was born in Virginia but I became a famous politician in Illinois would you thank Virginia? I never said any of those companies were founded in California, but that's where they are all located now and have been for some time. Also, Facebook was moved to California within weeks of being an incorporated company. Anyone else on here would say the same thing if it was about their state.

Your comment would be a nice rebuttal if I had said 100% of people eat CA produce. But sadly, I did not.

Since people seem to think that a company being founded somewhere else means it's not credible to where it's HQ'd, then here are a list of companies in Silicon Valley alone that were founded in the state as well:

1. Adobe
2. Apple Inc.
3. Cisco Systems
4. Ebay
5. Google
6. Hewlett Packard
7. Intel
8. Yahoo
9. Atari

But aside from this, Microsoft was founded in Albuquerque, NM, but do they get any credit for it? No, Washington does.

This list is just of the Bay Area in California. These companies listed are based there and and have their permanent headquarters there in the Bay Area of California.
