This entire thread is all the proof I need that Pennsylvania is the most underrated top-tier U.S. state. Apparently, a state with 12.7M people in it can be completely inconsequential.

Their opinions really. No point in going through and educating anyone about anything to gain what? Recognition from someone who probably wont care.
This site is a median for thoughts, expressions, beliefs, and inner emotions to come out. For me, I'm staying away from all of the above from now on and keeping it to facts that I can prove and state and then be on my way. No longer here to convince anyone of anything at this point, everyone will always have their opinion and no amount of data will influence them of otherwise, its the main thing I have learned on my time on here.
Here it goes, it's hard to put them in order after California and New York, but here is what rounds out the top 10:
1. California - most populated, most powerful economy, could be it's own country
2. New York - mainly because of New York City, most powerful city in America and financial capital
3. Texas - strong economy mainly due to oil and agriculture
4. Florida - also a strong economy, mainly due to tourism and abunduce of large cities
5. Illinois - mainly because of Chicago
6. Georgia - mainly because of Atlanta, a powerful economic center with numerous company HQ's, and airport which is now the hub for the world's largest airline
7. Michigan - mainly because of the auto industry (not sure how much longer that will last)
8. Massechusettes - mainly because of Boston, a strong technology center. Also strong politically (which can be good or bad), a lot of big name politicians such as Ted Kennedy and John Kerry.
9. Washington - Seattle with a lot of major companies (Microsoft, Boeing, Starbucks, etc.)
10. Toss up between Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Minnesota, or Hawaii
Sorry, but the states in deep doo-doo with their debt are not powerful, just like the US is becoming less powerful for its debt.
New York is the largest financial center in the world but California is a close 2nd so relax just because I didn't choose your state.
