urban AND conservative areas (employment, neighborhoods, shop)

Can you think of any particular cities, suburbs or even just individual neighborhoods or districts anywhere around the country that are both "urban" (see definition below) and politically conservative at the same time? If so, I would like to hear about them!
My definitions:
By "urban" (I hate using the term personally, but for sake of communication) I mean a center/area of relatively high population density within a major metropolitan area with major employment centers, cultural attractions and venues, packed with lots of things to see and do, very cosmopolitan with international representation (what some call "diversity") and an all around interesting place to spend some time exploring. It doesn't necessarily need to be officially recognized as a so-called "new urbanist" area or be a pre-WWII "historic" district. It doesn't necessarily have to follow the bible of mass transit. It doesn't have to be hip or trendy or elitist. I care about function over form.
By "conservative" I mean tends to vote Republican in elections. Or even a place that's really moderate/independent/"purple" when it comes to politics but where a moderate conservative wouldn't feel the least bit out of place or like a social outcast.

Orange County, CA in the Los Angeles Metro is in an urban area and is conservative. 3 million people and it has historically voted Republican and went for McCain this year. Population density is 3,606 per square mile. Not super high, sort of around Houston's level on pop density. It has a diverse population, attractions like the beach cities, Disneyland, Knotts, shopping, etc....
Sort of a suburban feel in my opinion though, but it is still in the urban area.
