The Houston option should be Uptown (rather than Rice) to be comparable to the other big ones.

Yes Chicago has some nice streets for shopping, but nothing beats the shopping christmas experience in NYC. And I am not just talking about one of the best streets in the world, 5th Avenue.

My favorites are midtown manhattan, Union Square SF,
Magnificent Mile Chicago and since I live in Seattle I love our downtown shopping.

Rice Village is my favorite shopping district in Houston. The mixture of shops, bars and restaurants make it a great place to spend a weekend.
