I remember trying to find the population for Chicago. I typed in Chicago and something else( can't remember the exact words) and I came by to this website. I found the population for Chicago and from there, I start looking at other cities. Later on, I found out that city-data have forums and became interestind in some of the topics/threads. So I decided to finally become a member/user of city data and been addicted ever since. How did you find city data? And what made you join and become a member of this website?

I first found about City Data back in November 2004, I was doing a social studies project based on my town, he recommended me to use city data. It worked really well. I never knew this place had forums until 2006.
I was planning a trip to NY and wanted answers to questions by the people who live there. So I simply searched under "New York Forums" and pulled up a few, and City Data was the best. People were very responsive and helpful. So were the ones in Philadelphia.
I stumbled into City Data from Google looking for demographics information on various towns I wanted to live in. Eventually I found myself in the forums.
Well, I did a Google search on the Colonial America (MD, VA, GA, and PA to be exact) and found links to this site several times. I also was doing extra research on the American Revolution and was directed here again and decided to become a member.

So I actually found Skyscraper Forum first, but I never had time to post anything. The people were extremely rude to one another, and the discussions were weak and unsatisfying... Very thin attempts were made to avoid the "No city vs city" discussion threads rule, but people did it anyways.
So I actually ended up searching for an alternative I would feel comfortable posting on, and I found citydata City v City threads are exasperating and upsetting but believe me, being able to discuss them at length is great.
My sister told me about this site, which I had never heard of. I became a member and have been hooked on this site ever since. I have even recommended it to others.

Was planning a road trip to ME and searched out Maine Forums. Read a few post on places to see and where to eat. Took some of the advice and wasn't disappointed.
Did the same a couple months past when we went to New Orleans, but didn't find this site at that time. Don't know that it would or wouldn't have been better.
Got back from vaca and decided to lookie loo about what the site had to say about my area. Decided to add some of my thoughts. So here I am.
