Whats the difference in people from other regions and states?
What state finds it harder to accept outsiders?
I think California is known for being the most accepting state because it hosts so many different walks of life and cultures. The most unaccepting state would probably be Wyoming. If you're not a white, Christian rancher you stick out like a sore thumb. It's not that Wyoming is a bad place, it's just that there's no diversity.
I think it's hard to label a whole state as accepting or unaccepting.
This is so true. Every state has accepting people; and every state has non-accepting people. If you an outsider, you can assimilate into the new place with no issue, and you are likely to encounter the same problems anywhere, regardless of which state you are moving to.
Don't go to Oklahoma. Lots of fundies, homophobes, and racists there.
LOL. 100% true.
But I think Nevada is the most accepting state. California has got too many weird laws now. I think Nevada is the most accepting state because of its libertarian values. As far as the people go they are a mix, which makes them diverse in personality.

I know there are accepting people everywhere but Ive heard that some states in the South are least accepting than states in the West then Ive heard that places in the NE were the same way.

That's a pretty general statement. I think the op was looking for the states that over all were the most accepting.
Btw PA is known for being a pretty closed-minded state with the least traveled people. Sure they like to throw out the sayings 'You've Got a Friend in PA' and city of brotherly love blah blah, but I think that's just for the locals

I know he/she was. The fact of the matter is, if your attitude is right, you will be accepted anywhere regardless of your situation. There are no states better than any other state. They are all the same.
