What are the biggest money makers for your/any city? For example Detroit has auto industry, Las Vegas has casinos, and Houston has oil. Also if anyone knows what type of businesses or industries cities are leaning towards that would be nice.
Actual Business? I would think healthcare is a big one. The colleges probably employ a lot of people also. Beer is still existent obviously, with A-B Inbev :yuck: and Schlafly, but the beer industry in St. Louis probably isn't near what it once was when you also had Lemp, for example.
Location: Concrete jungle where dreams are made of.

Do a lot of people go to St. Louis to visit? I ask because I went last year with my fiance mostly just to see a Blues game, and tons of people here were like "why are going to St. Louis and what's to see besides the arch" lol. Not making fun of STL or anything, just saying that at least in my area people were questioning why I would go there.
I travel to different cities just to see that city and see something different. But I ask the same question, why would someone want to visit St. Louis?
Sometimes for the same reason as stated above.
Sometimes to see or do something specific. i.e. Sporting event, museums, etc...
Then of course there is busn. or a convention that you may be forced to attend.
But I think certain cities are a larger draw for tourists because that city has a lot more of everything to offer. Such as NYC, Chi. LA. For history or shopping you could include Philly, Boston, SF. Most other large cities are in the same boat as St. Louis.
