The Sierra Nevada.
Pics:
The Sierra Escarpment (where the mountains gain 10-11 thousand feet in only a few miles):

Yosemite (obligatory):

Lake Tahoe:

Convict Lake:

My second favorite would be the Cascades.

Tough to choose, I have pictures. Will post em later.

I've never been to the Rockies.

However I've been to the Appalachians-Blue Ridge Range
Cumberland Mountains

The Porkies aka Porcupine Mountains in Michigan are beautiful as well, situated right on Lake Superior. The Porkies are much overlooked.

Not necessarily in order:

- The Southern Appalacians
- The Cascades
- The Rockies
- The Sierras

I think Alaska has the best scenery and the best Mountains. Couldn't believe how beautiful it was when I went fishing there last year.

Chugach range to the east of Anchorage. It is a great backdrop to a sunrise.

The Tetons, without a doubt. If Ansel Adams thought it was photo-worthy, you know it's spectacular.

Those are some stunning pictures of both the Appalachians and the Sierras. I've never been to either, but would love to go.
