I wouldn't doubt that. I've never visited Moscow though (yet), and this was a thread about cities that we've been to. It's supposed to be a very nice (and very expensive) city.

In the states---NYC---no other city comes close. In the Americas, Quito, Ecuador or Buenos Aires.

LOL no kidding...my husband was there on business early this year and had the pleasure of paying $45 for a hamburger and fries. I wanted to tag along, but he said "sorry, I can't afford you."

The "Big Apple" truly does have it all---Central Park for the naturalist, The Met, MOMA, Guggenheim, Museum of Natural History, etc. for the aficionado of art, Little Italy, Chinatown, Greenwich Village, and other neighborhoods with a distinct cultural flair, and an excellent mass transit system.

The down side? Housing is ATROCIOUSLY EXPENSIVE! You can pay TWO mortgages for TWO nice homes here in Scranton, PA for what it would cost to rent ONE one-bedroom apartment in Manhattan. How can that be justified? How do the city's blue-collars survive? I'm content living here in Scranton where I can AFFORD to live comfortably while being just two hours from either NYC or Philly.
Yay! Love for my old neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights! You've got a good sniffer, ScranBarre...it is IMO one of the best places in NYC to live.

Psha!!! I LOVE burgers! It would take me about four hours working just to afford one in Moscow though!
