sav858 described it pretty well. I think you will get a lot more helpful responses from people who actually have been to, live in, and know these cities if you post in the "California Forum." It would be nice to know a little bit more about what you like from a city, if cost is a factor (remember, desireable areas out here are $$$), and what type of job you are looking for.
