About 14 miles each way / 28 miles round trip, by bicycle, year round, for the past 10 years. That's a bit over 6000 miles of bike commuting per year, for about 220 annual work days. I'm going to retire just under 5 years from now, meaning about 30,000 miles of commute miles left to pedal! The biking part is easy, it's the 5 more years of work that is the tough part.
7 miles one way, from Andersonville on the north side of Chicago to the Loop. It take the el, so including the walking on both ends it takes 45-50 minutes one-way.
19.1 miles one way. Never any traffic, even at 5 pm on Friday. That's very rare these days, and I consider myself very fortunate.
