If you attempt to drive 55 on any freeway in Atlanta, you will end up in a ditch.

Florida is always over the speedlimit!

We had a shock when we went to the Seattle area...they all drove the speedlimit and were happy about it! We felt like we were crawling.

Ok and they stop for pedistrians and actually cross at the crosswalks. That was refreshing!

Is there anywhere that drives slower than the speed limit? I have yet to see this.

You can add NJ to that description as well.

Well everyone here is from out of town so if the speed limit is 55 you find those that drive 50 all the way and then you find those driving 90 and weaving everywhere.

I live about an hour outside of Denver (up near the mountains), and in this area most people drive at or below the speed limit. I'd say 90% of the time when I'm driving home from work I get stuck behind someone going 40-45 in a 55.

Then you have yet to drive in Maine. It's VERY slow. It's not at all unusual to be stuck behind someone going 20 in a 35 or 40. Very slow state when it comes to drivers. I've been pulled over for going 3mph over the speed limit in Maine while at home (Massachusetts) many cops won't even look in your direction if you're going 15 over. They're pretty coureous, but very slow.

Florida is one of the funniest places I've driven, particularly South Florida. It's a REAL mix of slower, mostly elderly, people going well under the limit and a younger crowd exceeding the limit by a lot. Nowhere have I driven with such a range in speed limits. On 95 from W. Palm Beach down to Miami, the range in speeds must have gone from 45-90 mph depending on the driver. It was very interesting.

Right at the speed limit. The cops in the burbs had out
tickets like Las Vegas show hawkers hand out fliers.
