It depends where the measurement is done. Along the coast, it's at sea level (duh), but the most northern area is definitely much higher. How high I can't say, but its high enough that in the Winter months, quite often it could be raining in the lower part of town while snowing in the northern part.

My 3rd floor condo's floor sits about 25 feet above sea level. At least that was the case when I bought it ten years ago....
