In Maryland the most densely populated census designated area is Friendship Village!!! (note No city in the nation has a higher density than Friendship Village). The density is over 80,000 per sq mi (it's not even a sq mi though lol)! It sits 34 acres and it's along Wisconsin Avenue (which has the most commercial sq ft on the WORLD)!!!

It is if you only consider "major" cities. Lots of tiny towns with very high density.
