No just South Florida. Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville doesn't hold a candle to the Texas cities in retail.

Actually Dallas can compete with South Florida considering it has a huge trading market population, so the area easily pulls high upscale stores. Many people wouldn't know this unless they visited Dallas.

Well it can go so far. While Dallas does have great upscale shopping, it comes short of Bal Harbour Place and a couple more areas in South Florida.

Orlando has great shopping on every level, so I think you are wrong there. I cannot vouch for Tampa or Jacksonville. My vote would also be for Florida which has tons of retail. More than it really would support on its own, due to all the tourism.

Nope, Orlando is about as upscale as Austin. Have you heard of the Domain in Austin? Also Austin has that same store as Orlando: http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=73

The Domain in Austin: http://www.simon.com/about_simon/lea...=redevelopment

Also that Premium Outlet thing is like a chain company because we have that same thing in a suburb of Houston:
