I didn't even realize Canada had an organized government.

In 1867 the union of three British North American colonies formed a confederation. The Dominion of Canada was thus born. This set off a series of accretion of additional provinces and territories. This also kicked off a process of increasing autonomy from the United Kingdom which is highlighted in the Statute of Westminster in 1931 and ending with the Free Canada Act in 1982. which ended the vestiges of legal dependence on the British Parliament. So Canada is a soverign independent nation. Yes Canada is North of the United States except for in Southeast Michigan where the Southwestern edge of the Canadian Province of Ontario sets Southeast of Michigan

Actually now that I think of it I've never heard of this guy, and I can't name any previous PM's. I would assume most Americans are in that boat.

I think it's just Canada doesn't create a lot of rucus, and little news.

Don't forget that most of New Brunswick is to the South of anybody in Northern Maine and that Nova Scotia is almost entirely south of the majority of Maine.

I could name most of the Canadian PM's since the late 60's, but just failed to catch who the latest one was .

Does Harper play goalie or center? This will affect my opinion of him.
