My cousin is graduating boot camp there in April and I may be going. Can y'all tell me anything about San Antonio and where to go and where to avoid? Thanks!

Why did you post this is the general u.s. forum, kinda sounds like it should be in the San Antonio forum doesn't it?

The riverwalk and the Alamo are pretty close together. There are a lot of restaurants/bars down there and tons of AF graduates walking around in their blues. The base has lots of info so you should be fine.

Lackland is wayyyy on the southside of town.
Most growth in SA is on the exact opposite....North on into Bulverde.

Alamo and riverwalk area are major tourista destinations.

Buckhorn Hall of Horns...Tower of Americas if it's a nice day....

There's not much else in town....
....the library is nice to look at.

More than 26 million people visit S.A each year, so it's quite a bit more than the River, Alamo and Tower Of Americas.
