I would give the company a good score, with nice vibrant colored architecture. Never heard of Wegmans.

There are no HEB in Dallas. Walmart stores have pre-empted this potential HEB competition by flooding the DFW area with supercenters; the current number of Walmart stores in the greater DFW market is around 125.That's why there are no HEB in DFW.

That is correct. Safeway's Texas division is called Randall's Food Markets, of which Tom Thumb is a part.

I never knew there were so many Wal-Mart Supercenters in DFW...I live inside the loop where it is VERY rare to find a Wal-Mart Supercenter. In fact, the nearest one to me is about a 10 mile drive.

Sorry, but nothing beats a Kosher supermarket and an Italian supermarket like we have here. Never could get the selection I do when I went to college upstate and Maine.

Where I live there are 3 Walmarts I can go to the one in Cedar Hill,Landcaster,or the one in Dallas off of I-20 Wheatland Rd. They are less than 10 miles from each other.

HEB is like a cross between Kroger/Randalls and Walmart. But the management seems to like pulling products which people will actually buy. If you want to buy it. chances are it's going to leave your store.

Then, they get defensive when people request they are stocked on the shelf.

Randalls is really pricey but the cashiers are friendly. If you need help finding something they will rush to help you.

There's Safeway's "World Class Customer Service" for you. It borders on annoying if you ask me.
