^ i think another thing that is getting better (which dropped MISERABLY with the white flight) is our urban spaces. They've seemed to get a grip on themselves for the first time since the 50s. There's signs of improvement in every US city. It's incredible how many strides our cities have taken to become better finally, especially those in the east

Let's hope we can learn from the mistake made last November: That catchy phrases like "hope" & "change" are no reason to elect an ineffective person as President. Now that's change we all can believe in!

We don't know that about him yet. He is faced with formidable problems that won't go away with the flick of a ballpoint pen.

I'd say we know as much as we need to know, just by looking at his mammoth spending bills, his failure to manage the credit crisis & dwelling on frivilous issues like whatever Rush Limbaugh says. He is truly inexperience, personified!

Failure to manage the credit crisis...the credit crisis isn't even old enough to have been "managed", unless we go back to the Bush administration - when something REALLY could have been done to manage it before it became a crisis.

Which actually started under Clinton, with the assistance of Sens. Dodd & Frank (D)...who sit on the finance committee!!

Barry signed a huge spending bill today, chock full of earmarks that he pledged he'd do away with. Instead of veto'ing it, he signed it...behind closed doors! Now THAT'S a failure!
