why is that....that it seems most small new england towns...keep there old fashioned style and the rest of the country is not? maybe i should permanently move to vermont it's amazing there!!!!!!!!

I agree.
New England is one of the most beautiful areas in the country. The culture,the people the scenery everything that makes up NE makes it impressive IMO. I'll probably live there as a full time resident in less than the next decade.

A number of reasons. New England was one of the first areas to be settled in America, so the towns are naturally older. Also, fewer people are moving in so the old stuff remains as there is not as much of a need for new stuff.

I agree. To me it's impressive for its place in American history alone. So much history and so many notable people have come from and live in the region, and there's so much to see and do. As a region it packs a lot of punch in a relatively small area. Trust me on this, I live in Texas.
