I don't own a car and I ride my bike 15 miles each way to obtain raw milk. Can I still be American?

I don't drive (by choice), walk to get my milk, and don't own a car, 2-ton or not - does that mean I'm not a real American?

Well yeah, I haven't bothered with a car in 6 years. I just take the train everywhere.

Although for milk I can just walk to the store in the building nextdoor and get most of my groceries.

You know you're American if you can't take a good ribbing and don't understand good-natured self-depriciating humor!

You don't need to be American for that.
