I wanted to start this thread to see who of us-on cd-pay more in state taxes. Just to see where it counts to live more. And try to keep this for people who live in a metro-area but either or is ok. This includes property and income tax. So which of us has the higher tax?
The house i live in was purchased at 300,000 and we pay 12,000 in property taxes. And state income is a flat 3% of income. So what are yours?

Not sure what what the percents are, but I make 1420 net every 2 weeks. I get out 137 for state, 68 for NYC tax, but don't pay property tax. But I just bought a house in western Long Island, and the property tax on that is something like 8,000.

No state income tax
Sales tax = 6.5%
Property tax = approx. 2% of purchase price ($7000/yr on $350k house)
