Hi all!
I'm a Spanish boy, studying computer engineering and I'd like to live in the usa at least in summer, but I'm afraid I can't afford it. So I'd need to leave Spain with a job offer in your contry.

Does anyone know where to start?

Thanks

How about applying for jobs? And whatever you do, please make sure to speak English here. :-)

Could you please give me some links in order to apply for a job?
What places would you recommend?

Well you could try these! But you'd have to move to Alaska!

Come to Silicon Valley! (my area, near San Jose, CA) We have so many "tech" companies here, there has to be something for you... check on the following websites:

http://www.monster.com/
http://www.americasjobbank.com/
http://jobsearchtech.about.com/od/jo...convalley2.htm
http://www.caljobs.ca.gov/

I don't know about the specifics of working here (visas & such), but I've met plenty of international "visitors" who work at local companies.

WoW! From the seen on TV I love CA, but I thought it was unreachable for me...
Silicon Valley is globally famous for computing research.

You're welcome. It is a VERY expensive area to live in, but people manage to do it every day... get yourself a roommate (or two) and live in a town like Santa Clara & San Jose, and you should be just fine. Especially since you're only planning to be here for a few months, and won't be purchasing a home. You could also get an in-law apartment (part of someone's home, but with a separate entrance) or studio apt., and it would be even cheaper!

P.S. Don't expect San Jose to be like the California you see on television... they usually feature Los Angeles, which is much different than the Bay Area. If you watch anything set in San Francisco, that should give you a better idea of this region.

Default Hola

Yo Tambien Soy De Espana Y Me Vine Aqui Con Un Programa Que Se Llama " Aupair In America ", Si Tienes Menos De 25 Anos Es Un Programa Excelente Por Que Puedes Venir Por Un Ano O Solo Para El Verano. Vives Con Una Familia Americana, Te Pagan Un Dinerillo Semanal Y A Cambio Cuidas De Los Ninos, Si Tienen Quinceaneros Seria Estupendo Para Ti Porque Ellos Te Pueden Ensenar El Ingles, Y Ademas Es Mejor Para Actividades Y Conocer Sitios. Lo Unico Es Que Tienes Que Pner 500 Dollares De Deposito Para Asegurarse Que Vuelves, Y Tu Puedes Elegir A La Familia Porque Ellos Te Llaman Y Te Hacen Una Entrevista Antes De Venir, Y Tambien Puedes Ser Selectivo Con El Area Que Quieres. Pruebalo Y A Ver Que Te Parece. Yo Tuve Una Buena Experiencia. Suerte!!!
