McDonald's in the Charleston area sold a Carolina Classic sandwich for several years, which was only available in the Carolinas.

They definitely don't have that at our Sonics up here! Too spicy for us northerners

The one thing people like to do here is get a McChicken and a McDouble and take one of the buns away and put them together! YUM is all I can say

Brats and cheese curds get added to menus in places like McDonald's. I always figured regionals would work better outside the region, because why would someone want a heatlamp Johnsonville when there are great local sausages cooked correctly for cheaper everywhere else?

I think in California they just throw avocado or jalapeno on things and call it a special. A lot of places that serve burritos will also put friends in it and say it is Californian. I can't think of any specific examples though.
